Flagged up by the Waste Management Networking group of LinkedIn, the BBC are reporting some disquiet over the contract terms imposed by PHS Wastetech.

Accused of bullying small businesses by using unfair contracts to ramp up charges, some customers signing “fixed price” contracts saw charges increase five-fold, a BBC investigation found.

This is not news to us. We have previously discussed Contract Grumbles, but way back in 2006 we had a flurry of correspondence about rolling PHS Allclear contracts for clinical waste disposal that were difficult to terminate. Indeed, some correspondents thought that it was almost impossible!
