Implementing EU Directive 2010/32/EU

Many Trusts and smaller organisations including PCTs and GP surgeries are struggling to implement EU Directive 2010/32/EU, or are they dragging their heels to delay the additional expenditure that will be inevitable?

However, it is a daunting task, to source a range of sharps safety products, ensuring a competitive price and secure supply chain, to manage the transition and to train staff in the safe use of the new products.

It is not surprising that some manufacturers are falling over backwards to help – to help customers implement EU Directive 2010/32/EU while helping themselves to a substantial share of the market. The latter point cannot be overlooked but is not our concern.

The Clinical Waste Discussion Forum is pleased to record the new BD pages and support service that will assist end-users in the implementation of EU Directive 2010/32/EU.

The Clinical Waste Discussion Forum does not endorse the BD service or BD sharps safety products but we are pleased to identify their services to support end-users in sharps safety compliance.
