Please note:

  1. The goal of this Clinical Waste Discussion Forum is to share information and best practice concerning all aspects of clinical waste management, safety, hygiene etc, from bedside to final destruction. It is accessible to all; these forum rules apply to everything done in the Forum section of this website.
  2. The Clinical Waste Discussion Forum (the Forum) is presented “as is”. It is intended as an open information exchange, to facilitate the exchange of news, views and opinions. Feel free to post questions, or to offer answers to the questions posted by others.
  3. Authority – The Clinical Waste Discussion Forum is moderated on an as required daily/weekly basis.
    The moderator and administrators is Ian Blenkharn who operates in a non-commercial manner on the Forum that is provided free of charge for all of those interested or involved in any aspect of clinical/healthcare waste matters.
    The moderator reserves the right to delete any messages deemed to be inappropriate without notifying the author and will ban a member of the Clinical Waste Discussion Forum if the rules are breached. An explanation will be provided if any user requests it (email moderator@ianblenkharn.com) though spammers, of which there are many, will receive little sympathy or support!
  4. Your opinion and experience will be valuable to others, and we hope that this Forum will provide an easily accessible means to share knowledge, to develop or maintain best practice, and to seek advice from others.
  5. If you choose to add a comment or to register and post a message on the Forum, you are free to do so. However, please do give your name, and either your current post or experience as this will be helpful to those reading your post, to evaluate the strength of your comments.
  6. Platform users to give source information for the health/medical information when it is not personal experience or general knowledge. Personal experience is any symptom, test, treatment etc. that the person or a close family member has undergone himself/herself. All statements about statistics, data, studies and new advancement in medicine should have trustworthy sources.
  7. We remind you that any message can be read, used, reproduced and cited by all.

  8. The Clinical Waste Discussion Forum was created with a non-recurring unrestricted grant from Cliniserve Limited. Subsequent funding is provided exclusively by Ian Blenkharn.  We do not accept third-party funding, paid advertising, funded editorials or ‘advertorials’, or other advertising content or financial support for the web site including in those posts that you are otherwise entirely free to use, whether in the form of text links or banners, for example.
  9. The information provided on this site is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between you and your professional advisers or any regulatory body.
  10. We welcome the involvement of all those interested or involved in the handling of clinical wastes and related healthcare wastes, from bedside to end-disposal.
  11. Do not duplicate comments unnecessarily.
  12. Posted messages are reviewed daily, but may appear live as soon as you press the POST button.
  13. Anonymous posts are permitted, but we would prefer that you included your name, email address and affiliation when posting messages or replies to messages.
  14. To remove or amend any comment, please email the Moderator.
  15. We place no restriction on users, who are entirely free to post relevant comments and responses to messages.
  16. The Forum is not a free advertising service. Though we welcome and support posts from any commercial organisation, blatantly commercial use of this Forum will not be permitted. Any such posts may be subject to editorial change or to rejection and deletion. The originators of such posts will be notified of such decisions by email.
