Placenta disposal in the park?

We have reported a diversity of routes for placenta disposal by Mums, including burying in the nice spot in the garden, transformation into art, to Chinese medicines, as tablets and capsules intended to ward off the post-natal blues, and even a nice sauté.

But now, a placenta has been found wrapped in a bag Placenta found near Hyrstlands Park in Batley, West Yorkshire.

The organ was found inside red and white drawstring bag by a dog walker – perhaps it was found by the dog? – and now police are working with the NHS to track down the new mother.
