Needle decap/recap, with a sting in the tail?

A new product from a Canadian company claims safely to facilitate decapping of hypodermic needles, if you really need a device to do that. Removing a needle cap is after all not recognised as a particular problem.

But the DECAP device is intended also to permit safe recapping of hypodermic needles. Recapping is a fundamental no-no and should never normally be considered except in the most limited of circumstances.

Inevitably, it seems likely that the DECAP device will encourage more to recap a used needle. If DECAP can do that safely well, so far so good but surely it will encourage needle user to recap used needles when no DECAP is accessible.

That must never happen.
