There is a vast number of hazards associated with any demolition or renovation site. Here is another one!

A construction firm working on a new £4.5 million city centre hotel has been forced to install bins for drug addicts to protect workers from discarded needles. Sharps bins have been fixed to the fence surrounding the work site.

The contractor, Shaylor Group, said up to six needles a day had been found on the Beak Street site, Birmingham, along with human waste, since the beginning of September.

This is an excellent and wholly responsible response by Shaylor Group. Well done.
