Authorities are searching for a medical services vehicle stolen in suburban Philadelphia that has radioactive medical waste inside.
The gun-point carjacking happened Friday afternoon in Darby. The white 2014 Toyota Matrix has the words “Cardinal Health Nuclear” on it.
Darby Borough police Chief Robert Smythe said the car was carrying a container holding six syringes that contained spent radioactive medicine. The medicine is used in diagnostic imaging.

Police believe the car was stolen because two suspects thought there were narcotics in the car, but they turned out to be containers of syringes of spent radioactive medicine.
It is reported that the car has now been found abandoned, with its contents intact
