WHO Healthcare Waste Blue Book updated

WHO_Blu_BookThere are several “Blue Books”. The term is often used to refer to an almanac or other compilation of statistics and information, a vade mecum. The term dates back to the 15th century, when large blue velvet-covered books were used for record-keeping by the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

But this Blue Book, published in its 2nd edition by WHO, seeks to present a  concerning “Safe management of wastes from healthcare activities”, the Blue Book for those of us working with healthcare wastes. It’s comprehensive revision is now finalized and the guide can be downloaded from the WHO at no cost.
