It seems like the start of a joke, but at the Sushrut Hospital in Chembur, Mumbai, an incinerator caught fire sparking a partial evacuation of hospital patients.
Officials said labourers were dismantling an incinerator located on the terrace of the hospital, working on the chimney, when it caught a spark and a fire started that prompted the evacuation. They were working on discarding the incinerator that had not been working for a while.
So, that’s it, a disused hospital incinerator catches fire! It really does seem like the start of a joke, though serious for the hospital and frightening for all of the staff and patients involved.
