It is with great sadness that we convey news of the recent death of Steve Willetts.

Steve was an experienced practitioner is many facets of waste management, and devoted his time in particular to the legal framework as an consultant and Expert Witness. We shared a platform on several occasions, representing clients in a diversity of planning and permitting applications and appeals, each managed with great care and meticulous detail but always with a friendly and helpful tone that avoided unnecessary confrontation. That approach was echoed in his teaching activities, and more generally in his downtime and though an extensive personal friendship network that provided an outlet for his seemingly unfailing joie de vivre.

A good friend, and a very sad loss.
