Enhanced Functions and New Searched Resources
The Defra Portals Team can announce the following improvements:
Advanced Search
SCPinfonet now supports advanced searches using AND, OR, PHRASE, and TERM GROUPING operators. Please go to http://scpinfonet.defra.gov.uk and click ‘About Search’ to read more.
Source Selection
The resources to be searched are now grouped into convenient profiles such as ‘Government’ and ‘Library and Academic’. Resources can be selected individually, or by profile, before commencing a search.
Collecting, Managing and Sharing Knowledge
Registered users of SCPinfonet, when logged in to the site, are now able to:
- Save and recover searches;
- Bookmark discovered results is covered results, and manage them in Collections;
- Export searches, documents and collections to emails or personal files;
- Mark discovered results with social bookmarks, to share them over Facebook, Twitter, or 300+ other networks.
Registration is free, simple, and takes only a few moments.
