Health & Safety Manager-Waste Management, Surrey
Salary – £40k- £50k basic
The client operates the largest independent recycling business in the SE and has operations over various sites in the county. The company currently employs over 150 staff and due to further growth they are now looking to employ a ”Health and Safety Manager”.
The ideal candidate will be from a waste management or construction background
Job Description
- Answerable to the Directors you will advise the senior management team on all aspects of HSE.
- Review and monitor existing H&S policies and create new ones to ensure effective procedures and compliance to relevant legal requirements.
- Create and implement in-house training courses ensuring effective communication across the company – Assist site management applying SHE policies throughout the company.
Essential
- This is a PRACTICAL AND HANDS ON position within a waste facility
- NEBOSH diploma essential along with good IT skills
- Waste industry or construction background
- Strong communication skills
