Thug stabs woman in neck with hypodermic needle

Attacks with a hypodermic needle continue to occur though are fortunately infrequent.

The latest recorded attack, on an unfortunate lady who innocently answered her front door to be stuck in the neck by a thug, occurred in the Blackley district of Manchester.

Police said she opened the door to see who it was before the man pushed and threatened her. He then speared her with the syringe before yanking it from her neck and fleeing down the street.

Though the paper reports that all tests are negative, the incident happened on Sunday July 29 and it is far too early to be so confident about the transmission of infection.

We wish the lady well.
