The US FDA is hosting a webinar “Safe Disposal of Medications and Sharps in the Home Setting” on August 23, 2012 at 13:00-14:00 eastern time.

The webinar is part of a Continuing Education Program for Nurses but others may apply and will find this a useful review of the potential human and environmental hazards of sharps and medication disposal in the home, recommendations for safe disposal of medications and sharps, and resources available in the community.
