Waste sack design

There is little scope for improving waste sack design. In an array of colours, these may vary by wall thickness (though puncture and tear resistance, and overall strength, would be better criteria for selection), seam strength and the presence or absence of a gusset, there is little likelihood of further development.

A recent unsolicited email from China offering the supply of what look like non-compliant clinical waste sacks and, even worse, paper sharps bins did contain a picture of a small waste sack with precut handles.

Bags of this type are quite common in many applications – I suppose it is a variant of a supermarket carrier bag – and I wonder how useful these would be.

With many users wanting a small waste sack that can be attached to a dressing trolley or bedside locker, this seems to fit the bill perfectly.

After use, what might otherwise be considered as carry handles can be used to tie the bag and seal its content. Larger sacks of similar construction might be equally successful, overcoming in great part the perennial problem of providing adequate closure of waste sacks.

How about it?
