Clinical waste bins – help for wheelchair users

We are all used to the importance of foot operated clinical waste bins that avoid handling contaminated surfaces and contact with bin contents, but what about wheelchair users?

Regrettably, it’s something I’ve never considered but it is, of course, absolutely necessary for some.

Now Wybone have produced a wheelchair ramp bin add-on. A clever bit of design provides the means to raise the lid on any sack holder without using hands. Shown on an orange clinical waste sack holder, this new feature “can be added to any of our sackholders, and will be painted the same colour as your frame. This unique new device allows sackholders to be hands free, preventing the spread of infections and germs, by solving the problem of wheelchair users opening sackholders”.

Well done Wybone, for thinking about the needs of those less able than ourselves. Excellent
