Charges over discarded needle

We have previously reported in the Clinical Waste Discussion Forum the case of a woman charged for throwing away a used hypodermic needle at a fast-food restaurant in Wollongong, New South Wales, which subsequently injured a six-year-old girl.

Now the woman has faced court for the first time after being charged with aggravated littering.

Aggravated littering” – it is an odd expression that in Law it means something special, but in English language the term is a bit of a nonsense.
