Children seem to have a magnetic affinity for discarded sharps, picking them up and stabbing themselves, or standing on them to the distress of themselves and their family.
In China however, things might be a little different. A Kindergarten teacher has been fined 500 yuan (about £56) and detained for 10 days for jabbing a toddlers’ buttocks with a hypodermic needle!
The teacher first used the needle to frighten nine recalcitrant kids at the Noah Paris Metropolitan Kindergarten who refused to take their afternoon naps on time.
When the deterrent didn’t work, she jabbed the needle into the buttocks of several of the children, police in Tongxiang, a prosperous city in Zhejiang province, said.
