Trypanophobia is the extreme and irrational fear of medical procedures involving injections or hypodermic needles, sometimes referred to as aichmophobia, belonephobia, or enetophobia.

Though the etymology is unclear, belonephobia refers more generally to the fear of needlestick and possibly to sharps injury also.
