Police searching through bags of hospital waste

Police are continuing their probe into death of Pamela after a fall at Dundee flats block.

The death of a woman is still being treated as unexplained a week after she was found with serious head injuries by a member of the public.

Pamela King, 50, was discovered at an address in the city’s Lochee area with wounds to her head after a suspected fall.

She was taken to Ninewells Hospital where she died the following day.

Police are continuing to investigate her death, which is being treated as unexplained.

Officers had previously been seen searching through bags of hospital waste in a bid to find clothes as part of the probe into her death.

The investigation was carried out at a waste management facility within the grounds of Ninewells Hospital.

Police had searched through piles of orange clinical waste bags for at least two days in an attempt to locate the items of clothing.

The clothes had been taken off Ms King and disposed of whilst she was receiving treatment at the hospital prior to her death.

A source said there was no suggestion anyone had made an error in disposing of the clothes.
