Defra is asking for feedback on new regulations for handling, transferring and transporting waste in England and Wales. If you want to comment on the proposals, you need to do so by 8 September.

The new Waste Controls Regulations are due to come into force in April 2009.

What are the proposals?

This consultation applies to England and Wales only. It incorporates responses to three earlier consultations, and includes draft regulations and a partial impact assessment.

The new Waste Controls (England and Wales) Regulations 2009 will replace several pieces of existing legislation with one consolidated regulation.
