Caught a London regional news bulletin this morning commenting on the Westminster Council name-and-shame policy regarding drug litter.

One year on from the smoking ban, we have become used to huddles of smokers outside buildings. Smoking litter is a widespread problem, and in tackling this Westminster have compiled a list of companies and organisations who have failed miserably to clear the smoking litter deposited outside their buildings.

Top of the guilty list of offenders is the Government department responsible for environmental affairs, DEFRA, which despite being publicly shamed last year by Westminster council is still failing to tackle litter outside its offices.
