Google and the Google Alerts service are invaluable tools for those seeking information on almost any subject.
We have noticed twice in the last few days, links presented via Google Alerts précising web links pertaining to current and newsworthy clinical waste research. Unfortunately, those links directed immediately to dangerous web sites running the HTTP Fake Codec WebPage web attack scripts. This is recorded by Symantec as a medium risk to all Windows users.
I am sure that Google do all they can to disable links to these spoof sites that contain scripts intended solely to damage our computers. That they are trying to do this under the guise of quite genuine clinical waste research is particularly worrying.
Make sure that your virus scanner and firewall software are fully up-to-date to protect against these risks.
All links posted on this site are tested for accuracy, and are confirmed as safe though all users must take responsibility for their own virus and firewall protection.
