We have received
by email a request from the Sales Department of Greenleaf Hygiene Solutions Limited
[read it here] suggesting that the original news item posted in this thread refers to a
blog posting made elsewhere which they consider to be defamatory.
It is Greenleaf's claim that by including the link to that blog on the Clinical Waste Discussion Forum we promote that defamation and that the link should be removed.
Although I'm sure they don't like the original blog entry, there is nothing in the Greenleaf email to suggest any legal authority in their proposition that the blog is defamatory. If it
is true that the blog is defamatory, then of course we would be happy to comply.
We have removed the link and complied with the Greenleaf request. It is with some dismay that we have taken this step. The news item posted in this Forum was actually hugely supportive of the company position, who had been attacked in the most vitriolic terms by someone who chose to remain anonymous. It was a one-sided tale and we had commented about the fact that there might have been another side to that story. Greenleaf had, and still have, the opportunity to reply to the original blog that they are so concerned about, and of course to reply to the news item posted here on the Clinical Waste Discussion Forum. Greenleaf have chosen not to take them. That is unfortunate.
Readers can view our original news item [here] but the link to the blog entry has been removed in accord with the Greenleaf request.
