Ian Blenkharn is an independent microbiologist with more than 30 years experience in the NHS and UK Universities focusing on aspects of healthcare and environmental microbiology. He has particular research interests in hospital, occupational and environmental microbiology, healthcare waste management – Ian is a member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and a Chartered Waste manager - surgical sepsis and the control of hospital infection, and bio-safety.
