Clinical waste lorry nearly falls down hole at Royal Liverpool hospital

A lorry carrying clinical waste became stuck after nearly falling into an excavation at the new Royal Liverpool hospital. Liverpool SRCLThe lorry’s back wheel fell over the excavation where construction work is continues at the new £335m hospital.

The SRCL healthcare waste driver was not injured and was able to get out safely after the incident earlier this afternoon.

None of the lorry’s waste contents were spilled.

A safety assessment has since been carried out and the truck was expected to be removed safely this evening.

A hospital spokesperson said: “Nobody was injured during this incident, the van’s contents are intact and a safety assessment has been carried out.”

Red faces all round. Oops!
