Take great care to maintain your virus protection software.

The Clinical Waste Discussion Forum and Blenkharn Environmental each received this evening a short email allegedly sent from Sita (UK) Ltd.

The subject line read “Remittance Advice !!!!” and the email carries and attachment “Remittance-advice.zip” containing an executable file “Remittance-advice.exe“.

The executable file contains a version of the high risk Gameover virus and a Trojan horse that attempts to steal confidential information from the compromised computer. It may also download configuration files and updates from the internet.

No doubt Site (UK) Ltd are an innocent party, and as much a victim as any other.

Please check your antivirus software and take great care when considering the attachments to any email.
