The evidence is now sufficiently strong as to be almost incontrovertible, save for a spirited rear-guard action by the vested interests of the big pharmaceutical companies who have a record of non-disclosure, that Tamiflu and other antivirals have limited protective benefit in the event of epidemic influenza, swine flu etc, and for treatment of affected persons are little better than a couple of paracetamol.

Many hundreds of millions of pounds of taxpayers have been wasted on Tamiflu stockpiles. Yet more money will now be spent on disposal.
