Organisation Description
A UK ‘household name’ within waste management has a vacancy created through an internal promotion, for a self motivated Field Sales Executive to join the team.

To be considered for this role you must have a full valid driving licence as a company car is provided.

Job Description

  • Research, develop and secure new business opportunities for the clinical waste business
  • Increase revenue by selling the existing services and products offered, as well as developing new and innovative ideas
  • Develop a cold calling strategy to maximise the potential revenue gain from a set geographical area
  • Maximise revenue and profitability, working to achieve or better defined targets; formally reporting performance to the Business Development Manager on a monthly basis
  • Follow up on leads, successfully convert enquiries and secure contracts
  • Provide a high level of customer support, managing the relationship with the customer organisation
  • Assist the Account Managers to carry out regular reviews of each Key Account in terms of price, type of service, best value and profitability, as well as helping to ensure service performance meets or exceeds customers’ requirements
  • Ensure a high standard of customer care, in order to retain all major contracts
  • Organise and carry out any required presentations, exhibitions or other seminars that are required by the customer to help develop the business
  • Implement annual price increases as required by the Company
  • When needed, assist with the preparation of tender documentation
  • Provide support to other clinical accounts as required
  • Support other members of the Clinical Waste Department team
  • Other duties requested by the Business Development Manager

Person Specification

  • Minimum of 2 years working in a targeted sales environment
  • Proven motivation to successfully cold call, either from a field or telesales background
  • Confident communicator, accurate, discrete, approachable, flexible and ability to multi-task
  • Emphasis on providing the best customer service and aiming for win/win outcome
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet customer deadlines
  • Strong team worker with ability to work on own initiative
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact at all levels within a customer organisation
  • Ability to use PowerPoint for training and presentations
  • Good competence in Word, Excel and Outlook
