“As Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the capital city’s premier government hospital, completes inquiry into the recent theft of scores of discarded blood bags on its premises, heads are likely to roll.

“Earlier this year, an armed scavenger took 37 bags of blood and 165 packets of blood products from PIMS blood bank receptacles and stuffed them into two sacks before walking towards the exit.
