Infection Management has developed a machine for shredding, disinfecting and shrinking medical waste at hospitals and other facilities. The start-up says its product eliminates the need for off-site hauling and heat-based processing. The machine is part of a management system for tracking, processing, disposing and controlling access to medical wastes.
The system is intended to allow for faster waste removal and throughput, reduced operating costs and risks, reduced truck traffic, reduced exposures to pathogenic materials and enhanced environment controls. It now seeks backers for further development and market application
