Interesting to read the text of the recent tender document for Sheffield clinical waste collection services on PublicTenders.net.
It is particularly interesting that, in line with current environmental concerns the tender documents require:
"A new clinical waste disposal service that meets the ongoing requirements for collection/disposal reflects the segregation of clinical waste and the potential use of alternative technologies for disposal of wastes from NHS establishments within the Yorkshire and Humber Region."
