With echoes of the recent US case (Appeal lost over brain removal) the Irish regulatory process is flexing its muscle and criticising hospitals over the "disposal of organs by incineration as clinical waste" which is considered "unacceptable" and "should stop immediately".

I am aware that the issue of tissue disposal after post-mortem examination or surgery does cause distress to some, though for the life of me, I don't understand it.
